Safety is not just a response to crisis, but an ongoing commitment to protecting people.

Keeping You Safer At Work

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Safer At Work LA™ launched as a critical initiative to help businesses reopen safely across LA County, providing tailored signage and resources for retail, restaurants/bars, personal care, manufacturing, and essential services.

In partnership with Align’s PPE Unite vital resource distribution, Safer At Work LA™ swiftly adapted to rapidly changing guidelines while earning strong support from businesses and workers across LA County. The campaign initially provided clear, real-time pandemic safety updates but quickly expanded to address broader hazards—from airborne pollutants to overall workplace risks — meeting urgent needs as businesses sought trusted guidance.

Promoting Back To Normal

Safer at Work proactive tools, including vaccination protocols, disaster preparedness, and resource distribution, were widely embraced by hard to reach industries. Small and micro businesses in retail, restaurants, manufacturing, and services leaned on PPE Unite and the Safer At Work LA™ initiative as a cornerstone for workplace safety.

With a bold multi-lingual educational campaign and real resources, Safer At Work LA™ not only helped businesses navigate crises but also set a precedent for how safety efforts can respond decisively to evolving challenges and build community trust.

Supplies For Disaster Relief

We recognize the critical role of personal protective equipment (PPE) in safeguarding responders and communities during disasters like wildfires, as well as mitigating workplace hazards such as toxic ash, chemical exposure, and airborne dust.

Align’s PPE Unite launched in 2020 as an immediate response to the COVID-19 pandemic. PPE Unite addresses critical safety needs during disasters against hazards such as toxic ash, chemical exposure, and airborne dust. The initiative equips frontline workers, volunteers, and high-risk industries with essential gear—including N95 respirators, gloves, and protective eyewear—to mitigate risks from smoke inhalation, hazardous materials, and occupational dangers.

PPE Unite remains a resource for disaster preparedness and workplace safety, supporting wildfire recovery, industrial environments, and toxic cleanup efforts. By ensuring equitable access to reliable protection, it empowers communities to navigate emergencies and daily hazards safely. Visit ppeunite.org to learn more
